love gone wrong

so a handsome man was sitting on my lap, licking my chest and neck as i rubbed his body. we were both enjoying the office romance. we had just become friends the day before and all of this was going down in my office. he started to get rough with me so i called in a friend for relationship advise...then out of no where he bit the living @#Dlienk*& out of my hand.

blood everywhere, crime scene from the movies.

i am now unable to use my left hand and my lover Bingo the cat is slightly worse off.

no worries, i will still be able to have holiday fun with 1.5 hands.

wonder what my life would look like if i had become an accountant (hum)

My little angel's getting old

Shay: Still as cute and spunky as ever. Shay has an appointment with the Internist for a bronchoscopy on Nov. 13. In a playing fit in the backyard last month, she hurt her good leg (tore the cruciate ligament). She had surgery for a the same injury in the left leg a couple of years ago..thats why the right one was the good one. So, she is pretty gimped up right now. We talked to the surgeon about repairing the knee...but first we have to figure out what is going on with her lungs....Shay is pretty sad that she doesn't get to go on walks with her sister and brother...but after Parker and Mattie go on their walk...shay gets a special solo walk just slightly down the street. This is a picture of Shay in the dirt hole that was built to store the balls. I am sure Shay is guarding the balls which she cares nothing about from Mattie!

Slim and trim

Parker: Parker is looking hot to trot. We go on walks almost every day...he has a little girlfriend (~10 years old) up the street that loves him (her last name is Parker so she thinks it is really funny that I call him Mr. Parker which is the name of her dad). Last night we were walking (since it gets dark early all of our walks are at night) and Parker walked/hopped right onto a cat. In the second I had to process the situation I thought it must be a dead cat because Parker is barking at it and lounging within 1/2 a foot....it then started to slowly walk off and I realized that Parker just walk upon a skunk and was literally trying to get the critter which was within arms length. In this milli-second I thought for-sure the skunk was going to spray us all (Park, Mat, and me)...but the cool skunk just wobbled off as Parker had a fit to get at it. Moral of the story...Mr. Parker is the same old fool he always has been!

Mad

Tipper: She did not give me permission to take this picture or to discuss her personal life on the web! Tipper screams bloody murder when she is ready to be fed (her and parker are partners in crime when it comes to demanding 6am feedings on the weekends). She sleeps in my bed with me every night (I can only pet her when she demands it by hitting me). Although her and Lou are mortal enemies and have hiss fights all the time...they both share a bed (mine) every night.

Handsome

Cooter: Still as perfect as ever. He took a hiatus from rides for a while but now he has started hopping on again. The kitchen counter which is tall and centrally located is his perch. His game is to require pets from me whenever I am in the kitchen...when I do not oblige I get a spank (swat). This picture is of Coot on the back porch...very angry that Lou is outside and he is not.

Critters

Mattie: Getting grayer (aren't we all)...I removed 2 small mass from her body (they were nothing of concern per pathology)...she still does the very cute talking thing when she gets excited and her glowie yellow ball is still her favorite.

Animal Updates

As requested...here are updates on the critters

Lou: Still as rascally as ever...a good bit chunkier. Lou's daily need to spay earned him a harness and leash. He now enjoys walks in the backyard with his doggie siblings (he thinks he is a dog anyway...who's to say...he might be right).

cornhole

i went to a margarita party yesterday, i had not completely re-couped from the 4th...so i took it easy.

they had a game of corn-hole set up. they were calling it potty. trying to be cool and make new friends i shared that a bar in my town had this game (obviously imported from yonder land) and we called it corn-hole.

did anyone know that corn-hole is synonymous with anus? well, for the rest of the party anal sex jokes pursued and i was propositioned. since i had to work, i was fashionably 3.5 hours late and obviously a bit of drinking had taken place before my arrival.

good times

quarterly update

i just put on a peter, paul, and mary record; drinking a sam adams; and nibbling on a dark chocolate with espresso beans bar....one of the most relaxing evenings i have had in a while...
i should really do this more often...maybe the key to not being alone here is to share my on-goings...what a great little epiphany...i hope i remember it tomorrow.

so, i really I just work...6 days a week...on Saturdays i do relief work around at local VCA clinics...i absolutely love my job...i think and talk about improving my social life...but have not gotten around to it....i did discover that the mass audobon society does really cool outings...so hopefully i will go on a canoe trip in a couple of weeks.

my neighborhood is so picturesque that i am sure their must be an ax murder on the street...every day (almost)..the dogs and i go for a stroll down the bike trail (re-furbished old rail road tracks which are now a nice pedestrian path)...i just realized that it goes all the way to Amherst (~10 miles away) and crosses over the Connecticut river (old rail bridge) and runs by beautiful new england farm land. ...so for the past couple of sundays i have enjoyed wonderful bike rides.

i joined netflix upon moving and think it is kick-A. as i was watching a dvd (born in brothels...good flick) the other night...the dvd player started to act possessed...upon investigation i realized it was sprayed with cat urine...thanks lou...actually i would probably be watching a movie (for your consideration) right now if it was working...so, lou is to thank for the motivation to blog...

i now cuss all the time...during surgery the other day i said 'oh my god'...chrissy (one of the vet assistants)...was really worried...and said if i had dropped the f-bomb she would not have worried at all...nice. sorry mom. you little girl has a potty mouth.

anywho...i miss anyone who would care to read this so very much...i do have a work blog that i update with my favorite work animals (www.mspca.org/wne)

i have turned into a total media sensation.....click here to see me as a superstar

love, love

catch-up

So much has happened in the last month...here is a recap.
After Puerto Rico, I went to Savannah and got to hang out with mom, dad, the bros, and god family for a couple of days...very nice family time.

Had very few days to pack up the house...had a little quality time with friends before leaving...although the picture on amaya's blog looks like i am trying to bite her...it was really not a violent time.

The first trip to MA (1st of 2 driving trips within 1 week!) was with Aaron, the u-haul, and my little car. The trip took 3 days/2 nights. The first night we spent the night in Petersburg, VA...where my soul was snatched by the hotel clerk. Then we had a detour thru DC which involved being pulled by DC's finest for driving too close to the white house with a truck...about 11 hours after we entered VA for the first time, we re-entered leaving DC heading for maryland.
We got lost on the NJ turnpike...it is pretty tricky. Decided to surpirse visit aaron's friend jeff in brooklyn for the night...went to a nice bar and partied not so hard but still like rock stars...made it to my new place the next day afternoon...turns out the night before, 14 inches of snow fell within 12 hours...yikes..snow to our knees...still trying to convince aaron to join me!

The second trip was with mom in minivan with pups and kitties...this trip took 24 hours...by the time we arrived i was super pooped and getting sick...i found a washer dryer set on craigslist...once i got it home i realized the dryer was gas but i didn't have gas hook ups in the house...now the dryer is on the porch...mom and i went to ikea for shopping...we were in the stor for over 5 hours...wowzers...

on monday am i returned the rental van (which was totally kick ass)...mom and i rode the shuttle to the airport...picked up my car from airport parking...then drove around boston lost for 1 hour trying to find angel/mspca for my orientation...14 hours later i returned home.

here i am now..i have worked in the shelter 2 days now and things are great...the house is still a wreck...the dogs love the snow and the fact they get to go on so many walks...there are dogs everywhere (walking)...so we are trying to get acustom to doggie friends...the cats are happy...cooter and lou are now friends....

the snow is starting to melt and i am starting to see the yard! yeah.

puerto rico baby

aaron and i just got back from a fabulous vacation...our last hurah before i move up to western massachusetts.

we stayed in ponce on the south side of the island. it was a beatiful little town, with lots of stay dogs and cats :(
the hotel was awesome...hotel melia.. highly recommed it!
we spent a day walking around old san juan...it was great. when we went to the tourist information center, we were given (i would say forced) free rum drinks!
we even took a fairy to the island of vieques for a day/night....at night we swam with the glowies (bioilluminescent microorganisms). www. biobay.com
best of all...aaron got infected with the travel bug!
